DESK STUDIES
AQUAFACT has carried out numerous desk studies on a variety of topics e.g. fish, bird and mammal use of areas subject to development, aquaculture reviews, conservation status of designated areas, renewable energy and aquaculture site selection studies and predicted impact assessments and mitigation measures.
AQUAFACT has at its disposable a vast in-house library, which can be accessed when carrying out desk-based reviews. Our library includes over 1000 AQUAFACT reports from locations all around Ireland and over 5,000 scientific publications. In addition to this, AQUAFACT has a good working relationship with a number of universities and colleges, fisheries boards, government departments, state bodies and non-governmental organizations.
